Crosset Company announced today that “Jungle” Jim Bonaminio, the founder, fearless leader, and driving creative force behind Jungle Jim’s International Markets, will kick off the Crosset 2019 Produce & Floral Conference on August 28. He’ll share how his passion and commitment to making grocery shopping fun helped him grow a tiny roadside produce stand into the “food lover’s paradise” now found in two of the nation’s largest and most unique grocery stores.
“We are very excited that Jim is available to jump-start the educational series at our 2019 Produce & Floral Conference,” said Greg Kurkjian, Crosset Vice President/General Manager. “Creating unique, engaging in-store experiences is essential to retailer differentiation, building shopper loyalty and stimulating impulse purchases. Jungle Jim’s International Markets are nationally and internationally recognized shopping destinations and tourist attractions, as well as the primary grocery store for many who live in the greater Cincinnati area. His enthusiasm and energetic personality are contagious. I have no doubt Jim will inspire all attendees to think and act in new ways when they return home.”
Highly self-motivated and notoriously adventurous, Jim is an entrepreneur who is as serious about the food and grocery business as he is about fun. A Lorain, Ohio native and Miami University business major, Jim’s flamboyant management style is tempered by his often uncanny, always common-sense approach to problem-solving and by his open-door policy toward management and staff. He is a marketing maverick with a healthy disregard for the status quo and regularly applies his own personal brand of “gorilla” tactics to every aspect of his highly successful business.
Registration is now open for the all new Crosset Company Produce & Floral Conference, which will be held in Cincinnati, OH on August 28, 2019. Retailers, Foodservice Operators, Growers, Suppliers, and other industry partners can now register on-line at crosset.com.
